St. Patrick's Day was never a big holiday for me, but it has become a bigger deal. The kids all have to make traps to try to catch the leprechaun, so that they will get candy. (I don't love this new tradition) A few weeks before the day had arrived I walked into the kitchen to Margaret and Rose pouring honey into buckets, to try to catch a leprechaun. (lets just say not all the honey made it into the buckets)
Ava was set on dying her hair with green chalk, it sort of worked. We found this cute headband at Michaels, she was excited about it.
Margaret got a shamrock in her hair.
We had stew and biscuits for dinner, green finger jello and grasshopper pie. This has sort of become our traditional St. Patrick's meal in our house.
