I guess it is the year of the broken collarbone. Ryan broke his in February and now Ava broke hers. She was taking Libby (Grandpa's Steeds prize dog) on a walk in Waterton. Libby is not a leash dog and does not know about going on walks. A ball was thrown and if you know Libby she has a major obsession with playing fetch. Libby ran after it with all her force and took Ava down to the ground. Sure enough she was taken for an x-ray and the collarbone was snapped in two. It hasn't slowed her down much, a little discomfort for about a day but she seems to be able to do everything. (except ride a bike but she was trying to ride striders a few days later) She doesn't use it much and her mobility is not great but it hasn't stopped her from having fun.
She hangs on monkey bars with one arm, swims with one arm and does most things.
oh poor ava!!!! That's so sad. I'm glad she's not letting it slow her down. haha
